Truths to Transform Your Day From Stress to Power
This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24. Start your day with truth and purpose, and watch the atmosphere of your day become more positive.
Start with declarations
Be proactive instead of reactive, encouraging words of gratitude, truth, and victory, instead of reacting to waking thoughts, news, social media, and worry. Start with Psalm 118:24; Ephesians 2:10; 3:16; John 1:4, 7; Psalm 91:1,10.
Choose godly things
There is a battle for your mind with godly and ungodly influences. Let the word and the Holy Spirit guide you in choosing godly thoughts, words, and actions.
Pray
Purposefully, not by rote – James 5:16b NIV. Make prayer intentional, relational, purposeful, and powerful. Be focused and full of faith, aligning your heart with God’s presence, clarity, strength, peace, and direction. Pray, surrender, listen, and receive.
Put on your spiritual armor
Ephesians 6:10-18. Wrestling with spiritual forces is essential, not optional. Put on your armor: Belt of truth – Truth, Truth, is Jesus the living word (John 4:16), who protects us from lies, doubt, deception, and falling into error or fear. Breastplate of righteousness: Jesus is our righteousness. He protects your heart, emotions, affections, and inner life from shame, accusation, and condemnation. Daily, declare your newness, “in Christ,” I am the righteousness of God in Christ, by the blood of Jesus – 2 Corinthians 5:21. Peace: The shoes of peace help us to walk without damaging our feet and prevent us from slipping and falling during trials and storms. Cultivate His peace – Isaiah 26:3. Shield of faith – Faith, your unwavering belief in God, will extinguish the enemy’s fiery darts. Lift your shield, hear, speak, and act on God’s word, and let Jesus go to work on your behalf. Helmet of Salvation- As your covering guards your mind, beliefs, and thoughts. Declare you have been saved, redeemed, restored, delivered, and reconciled unto the Father. The word: Your only offensive weapon. Hebrews 4:12. Hear, read, speak, pray, and fight your enemy with it.
What you sow, you will reap
This impacts the quality of your day. Do not sow to your flesh, worry, and negative thoughts; instead, sow to your spirit, the word of God, hope, gratitude, and praise, which produce fruits of strength, peace, and confidence. Prayer: Lord Jesus, I dedicate this day to you. I surrender my thoughts, words, will, and my actions. Please help me to walk in your Spirit and not in my flesh. Fill me afresh with your Holy Spirit and clothe me with your armor from my head to my feet. I declare that I am blessed and favored, the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. No weapon formed against me can prosper. I thank you, Lord, for going before me today. Cause your angels to encamp, protect, and deliver me. I am not afraid, but bold, not weak, strong.
